SimplyIOA is a home and auto insurance solution allowing you to compare and purchase home and auto insurance from trusted companies online, over the phone or through a SimplyIOA branch. We appreciate the trust you place in us and is committed to protecting your nonpublic personal information ('Personal Information') and respecting your privacy. We value you as a customer. The following Privacy Policy (“Policy”) has been provided to inform you about the collection, use, disclosure, and transfer of any Personal Information by SimplyIOA. This Privacy Policy only covers SimplyIOA and www.simplyioa.com and does not cover other Insurance Office of America (IOA) business entities or websites including www.ioausa.com. Unless otherwise noted, the information in this Policy that describes how and why we collected, used and disclosed information within the past 12 months also describes the information we will collect and how we will use it. For purposes of this Policy, Personal Information (“PI”) means information that identifies, relates to, describes, can reasonably be associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you or your household.

At times, SimplyIOA engages service providers for the same business purposes for which we collect such Personal Information as described in the previous section; in these cases a contractual agreement is signed with each vendor to restrict the use of your Personal Information.

Simply IOA may Sell or Share your personal information as defined by the CCPA to our third-party partners to provide you with a tailored customer experience with your consent. We only disclose the categories of information explicitly called out above for these purposes. We take all recommended steps to ensure the safety of your information and provide you with the right to opt out of this action. In certain circumstances, SimplyIOA may disclose your Personal Information when authorized by law, public authorities, courts, or law enforcement, or when required to protect our legal rights. For example, disclosures can be a part of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other transactions.

Reviewing or Modifying Your Information

Any consumer can request a copy of the information about them that we have in our files or review it in a branch office and make a copy to check it for completeness and accuracy. Your request must be in writing and must provide satisfactory identification and proof of entitlement. A reasonable charge may be made for providing requested information. Within 30 business days, or as required by law, of receiving your written request, we will send you the information. Consent to the use and disclosure of your personal information can be withdrawn, by notice in writing to the address obtained above.

Individual Consumer Rights

The rights described below in this section pertain to the rights applicable under various state legislations such as California and Virginia. These rights include the. right to know/access, right to delete, right to correct, right to opt out of selling or sharing your personal information, right to opt out of targeted advertising, right to opt out of profiling, and the right to appeal. This section also explains how to exercise those rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights

    You have the right to opt out of the Selling or Sharing of your Personal Information. The CCPA defines these terms under 1798.140.(ad)(1) stating ““Sell,” “selling,” “sale,” or “sold,’’ means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.” 


  • Simply IOA is committed to your data privacy and provides the right to opt out to all customers regardless of residency status. In line with our commitment to privacy, we adhere to all opt out principals afforded under the CCPA. Simply IOA provides three methods for you to exercise this right as described below.


  • Because the use of identifiers including internet or other electronic network activity shared with digital vendors is considered a Sale or Share, you may opt out of the Sale or Sharing of your Personal Information by adjusting your cookie settings.   • E. Right to Opt Out of Targeted Advertising

    You have the right to request that we stop disclosures of your personal data for targeted advertising. You may opt out of Targeted Advertising by adjusting your Cookie Settings through the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of our website

  • F. Right to Opt Out of Profiling

    You have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not profile in a manner that would result in legal or similarly significant effects and as such do not offer this right.

    If you are unsatisfied with our actions related to the exercise of one of your privacy rights above, you may appeal our decision.

  • H. Sensitive Personal Information

    We do not collect Sensitive Personal Information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. We do not use or disclose Sensitive Personal Information for purposes to which the right to limit use and disclosure applies under the CCPA

    To exercise the right to know/access, right to delete, right to correct, right to opt out of selling or sharing your personal information, right to opt out of targeted advertising, right to opt out of profiling, or the right to appeal., please submit a verifiable Consumer request to us by either:

  • When calling or emailing, please describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. Any request that you submit to us is subject to an identification process to verify your identity or authority to make the request including your full name and email address.
    Designating an authorized agent: To exercise any of these privacy rights, you can also designate another person to act on your behalf. As permitted by the CCPA, any request you submit to us is subject to an identification and verification process and confirmation of the agent's authority, which may include attestation under penalty of perjury. Absent a power of attorney, we will also require the Consumer to verify their own identity.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you in a manner prohibited by any privacy regulation including the CCPA because you exercise your rights.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

SimplyIOA may Sell or Share your Personal Information as defined by the CCPA with our Third-Party Partners to provide you with a tailored customer engagement experience. As defined above in Individual Consumer Rights’ Section D, we are committed to ensuring your privacy rights and have afforded the appropriate opt out methods pursuant to applicable law. Any IOA customer may utilize our opt-out methods. We will not discriminate against you for exercising this right. Please find our three opt out methods and additional resources in the section previously mentioned. 


If you direct us to share PI, we may do so, and that is not considered a sale under the CCPA. We do not treat disclosures required by applicable law to be made, such as to the government to be sales. Also, disclosures amongst the Entities as defined above are not a sale.

Our Policy Towards Children

SimplyIOA does not knowingly collect Personal Information directly from minors and does not sell Personal Information from minors. Any information we collect from minors is always with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are under 16 years old, do not use or provide any information on our website.

We keep the categories of Personal Information described above for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or otherwise authorized by law.
